The planning and preparation for this Centre of Performance was six years in gestation. Early feasibility studies indicated that a community Theatre enterprise would be welcome in the local community. Since then much has changed in the nature, form and function of performative work and with this knowledge we are more firmly convinced that there is a place for Nexus in the Arts arena. A community equidistant between Bath and Bristol with its own rich cultural identity is now ready to embrace such an enterprise in The Giotto Arts Centre at the Sir Bernard Lovell Language Collage.

In September 2005 NIPA: Nexus International Performing Arts, the youth wing of Nexus, became an active body of Nexus International Performance Lab.
